Is this the begining of the Muslim reformation?

Islam is in need of a reformation if it is to be able to deal with the modern world and function in a secular state. A new "secular Islam" movement has met in St Petersburg Florida. Its manifesto is one solution that may be valid for Muslims in the United States and Europe. Its idea will percolate through the Muslim world. It is too early to know the significance of this movement, but it has attracted the opposition of CAIR and the derision of the Washington Post. It is a development worth watching.
